Senior Special Assistant on Contributory Health Insurance Scheme, Solomon Ebinum said that the good people of Delta State have enough reasons to appreciate what the state governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has done in one and half years of his administration, noting that the governor has repositioned the state with good governance.
The former secretary to Ukwuani Local Govt. disclosed this at Agbor after his investiture as a patron of Delta North 'Team SMART for Okowa'. Development of a state does not happen overnight, it is an ongoing process and by the grace of God, the governor has more Six and half years to go. I know that the fruit of development is reaching the people.
He urged the people to continue to pray and support governor Okowa stating that nobody could have done better than the governor under the present dwindling economic fortunes in Nigeria, adding that the governor came at the right time when governance required a seasoned and experienced administrator..
The governor's goal is not only to heal the economy but to give the masses a sense of belonging by encouraging jobs, growth, etc. He is also doing well in the area of security.
He averred that the governor has conspicuously brought his experience to bear in managing both the monthly federal allocation and internal generated revenue.
In terms of appointments, the governor has also made a clear difference like never before in the history of the state. All Local Governments are fully represented
He also praised the government for its Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme, STEP and Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme, YAGEP and also adviced the beneficiaries to build their own fortunes and thereby reduce unemployment in the state. .
With reasonable confidence, I can say that the state will get better and better with governor Okowa and I therefore appeal to the people that every responsible citizen should remember to pay tax.
