PDP CONGRESS: OSANEBI SUES FOR PEACE, RECONCILES AGGRIEVED MEMBERS

Ahead of Zonal, State and National congress of the People's Democratic Party ( PDP) and as it concerns the unity of the party,  the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has called or aggrieved members and PDP party faithfuls of Ndokwa East especially aggrieved  aspirants in the local government congress , to put their personal interest behind them, unite and help consolidate on the unity of the political family in order to check cracks.

The Deputy Speaker and party leader made the call in Asaba, when he
called a unity meeting between  aggrieved members of the party and aspirants in the last party congress.

Addressing the aspirants, Osanebi said: "alone  we can do so little, together we can achieve much, because coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success. This has given the party her identity in our area for so long, and we must do all we can to ensure and not assume, the unity of our great party".

The meeting called to calm frayed nerves generated recently during the conduct of the local government party congress, and to further unify the party and fortify her was attended by party party leaders faithfuls including,  Chief Ugo Asibelua, Chief Nwabueze Oyibosochikwu , Barr. Nnamdi Osadebe, Mr. Henry Onyenokwe, Chief Chris Oputa and others.

Osanebi noted that the continual unity of the party is paramount to the overall success of the government, saying that a house that is divided against  itself can not stand.

 Calling on aspirants to the position of  chairman, to support the new Chairman,the  Deputy Speaker reminded them that in any contest, only one winner emerges and they should see the emergence of Chief Ugo Asibelua as the will of God for the party and as such all hands must be on desk to ensure that his leadership and the party at large succeeds.

Thanking the Deputy Speaker for calling such a timely meeting, the chairman elect, Chief Ugo Asibelua thanked his fellow aspirants for their understanding and willingness to move the party forward by jettisoning all personal interest for the collective interest of the party.

They agreed to work in unity and to ensure that the party makes process in all levels.
