The Delta State government has said that its electronic media outfits will continue to partner with the management and staff of Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) in ensuring that it's programmes and policies are given the required publicity.
The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, said this on Tuesday when addressing guests and workers of NTA, Asaba, during the sendforth party organized for the station's retiring General Manager, Mrs. Elizabeth Ndiokho.
The Commissioner for Information stated that the state government will from time to time explore the national and international out reach of the NTA in reaching out to Deltans and non Deltans within and outside the country.
He congratulated the retiring GM for her meritorious 35 years of service and reminded her that journalists don't retire in the actual sense, but at that age has more time to contribute to the profession with less or no more administrative jobs to handle.
The retiring General Manager of NTA, Asaba, Mrs. Elizabeth Ndiokho, in her remarks, thanked the government and people of Delta State for their support during her stay in Asaba and solicited for such gesture for her successor.
Highlights of the ceremony were praise and worship sessions, exultations by Rev Kingsley Ighodala of Ebenezer Reign Ministry, Asaba, and Pastor Mrs. R. O. Onovughakpo of Jesus Ministry Bible Church, Asaba, and presentation of gifts to Mrs. Ndiokho
