Okakwu Hails Ogidi's Emergence As PDP National Vice Chairman - By Collins Agwam


The Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the executive governor of Delta state, Hon. Ikechukwu Martin Okakwu, has applauded the emergence of Chief Emmanuel Ogidi as National Vice Chairman, south-south, of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
This was contained in a press statement singed and made available to newsmen on sunday in Asaba, the capital of Delta state.
According to Hon. Okakwu, "Ogidi's emergence, is as a result of his track record of hard-work, diligence, and transparency as we both worked as chairmen of the state and Oshimilli North LGA respectively".
Hon. Okakwu added that," my short stay with
Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, while he was Delta state chairman of the PDP, portrayed him as a detribalized leader, a true democrat and a philanthropist".
The SSA to governor Ifeanyi Okowa, express confidence in the leadership style of the new national vice chairman.
He also urged all party faithfuls in the state and the south-south region to accord Chief Ogidi the necessary support to move the party in the region to a greater height.
Chief Emmanuel Ogidi was yesterday nominated unopposed as National Vice Chairman and chairman, south-south PDP in Dr. Obi Wali
Conference Centre, Port Harcourt and was later declared winner after an affirmative vote, in which he polled 579 votes and was unanimously
elected as National Vice Chairman, south-south PDP.
