Ekweremadu@54: Gov. Okowa Extols Dep. Senate President's Contribution to Democracy


Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has congratulated Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu on the occasion of his 54th birthday anniversary on Thursday 12th May, 2016.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, Governor Okowa extolled the leadership qualities and astute contributions of Senator Ekweremadu towards Nigerian's democracy.

Okowa said, "On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I wish to felicitate with the Deputy President of the
Nigerian  Senate,   a party stalwart and leader of inestimable value Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu, CFR, on the occasion of his 54th birthday anniversary celebration".

"Your Excellency, the immeasurable and invaluable contributions you have made to national development is indelible in the minds of Nigerians. Your life symbolises the assured reward for single-minded commitment to the ideals of diligence, humility, perseverance, focus and dedicated service."

Gov. Okowa further described the Deputy President of the Senate as a patriotic Nigerian whose reelection as Deputy Senate President for the third time in a row is unparalleled. He noted that Ike Oha Ndigbo, as he is fondly called is no doubt a patriotic Nigerian and a gentleman par excellence, a team player and above all, a God fearing Nigerian.

The Governor expressed his appreciation to Senator Ekweremadu for having been such an amiable and able leader in the Senate and on behalf of himself, the family, the Government and people of Delta State, prayed God Almighty to guide, protect and grant the Deputy Senate President more fruitful years of contribution to the nation.
